NZ lagging behind the rest of the world in technology adoption

This week Seven Sharp ran an excellent piece discussing how NZ is lagging behind the rest of the developed world when it comes to the adoption of technology in agriculture. We like to think that as a nation we are at the forefront of both tech and farming, but a study by the Maxim Institute showed that overall we still have a very traditional approach. This attitude is seeing us slip further behind our peer nations which is hurting our productivity.
At Aerolab we are massive advocates for combining on-farm technology such as drones with data solutions to deliver better results. We are already involved in a number of research projects to combine our XAG hardware with customer software in the areas of carbon quantification, weed identification and targeted spot-spraying. Give us a call if you want to learn more about how you can harness the power of technology on your land.
